I went in to see Spartan with mixed expectations. The plot sounded interesting, Val Kilmer gets better in every movie, and he tends to pick good scripts. But I've gotten cynical when it comes to movies, so I tend to expect things to suck.
[Spartan] sure didn't suck. It's going on my personal top 10 list.
