Flugtag

Maybe I go tomorrow, maybe not. Too much thinking to do, all about things I can't talk about here.
Anyway, more info [here]

A correction.

People seem to be assuming that for the duration of my crash and burn, she was standing there with me.

She wasn't. And I don't think I want to talk about it.

Errr.... Oops.

As a side note, SpamAssassin will *look like* it's working, when it's not. For reasons I have yet to divine, it doesn't recurse through it's tests on MacOS 8.6 and 9.0.

Oops. If I find a solution I'll post it.

Deep Stall.

Neutral elevator.
Power back to Idle.
Full opposite rudder to the stalled wing.

When the world is spinning, it's easy to find yourself not recovering, but making the spin worse. Pushing to the stalled wing. Increasing your angle of attack by pulling out too hard. It's easy to get disoriented and panic or recover in the wrong direction, fighting too much, and end up in a death spiral.

You're supposed to stay calm, to work through the steps to recover, you should have practiced enough that it's easy, second nature.

Sometimes your copilot fights you for control.
Sometimes it starts raining.
Sometimes you can't even see the gauges.

I kind of fell off the face of the earth. A lot happened. The spin got worse.

Back to idle. Full opposite rudder.
Breathe.
